SuperTrack Assembly.

The start section support structure is fabricated from Blue ABS custom extruded tubing and White PVC fittings. The unique tortional design provides good stability and rigidity. Additional stability is created by a 1/2" diameter steel rod running inside the length of the base. Additional rigidity is provided by the cross connected yellow cords creating a very stable, light weight and easy to store track support. In addition, the structure has holders for six 4" x 6" cotton American flags (made in the U.S.A.) which are provided. Canadian flags are available on request. Two additional flags are placed at the finish garage. The support structure is easily assembled without tools. The shock cords are just barely stretched prior to the track being added. Adding the track starting sections stretches the cords and brings the structure into stable tension. In the right hand picture from left to right are the base, two bottom 'vertical' supports, four middle vertical supports, two top vertical supports, four horizontal supports, two shock cords and two yellow straps (The yellow straps have been replaced by easier to adjust yellow cords in more recent models). This is the complete stand, assembled in the first picture, disassembled in the second.
This is an upside down view of an extension joint, however SuperTrack is assembled right side up. The picture uses contrasting colors for clarity. The solvent-welded tabs on the extension are inserted for guaranteed perfect alignment. SuperTrack is held together end-to-end by a white nylon cord under Lane 3.
