RaceManager - Automatic Announcements

Automatic Announcements:

SuperTimer II and the RaceManager make automatic announcements depending on the circumstances. This is a list of the possible announcements.

Items in single quotes are the actual words. Other items (e.g. Division) indicate that a suitable word (e.g. 'Super') occupies the position. Numbers (#) are always spoken as single digits, that is 21 is spoken as 'Two' 'One', Time# is spoken as 'Three' 'point' 'One' 'Two' 'Four' 'Six' and followed by 'Seconds'.

Getting Ready

Phase A Ready - 'Run' Run# Division 'Heat' Heat# 'Phase A' 'Ready'

Phase B Ready (one car - bye) - 'Run' Run# Division 'Heat' Heat# 'Phase B' 'Ready'

Phase B Ready (two cars) - 'Run' Run# Division 'Heat' Heat# 'Phase B' 'Advantage' 'Lane' Lane# 'Time' Time# 'Seconds' 'Ready'

WoW - 'Run' Run# Division 'Winner of Winners' 'Ready'

Hot - 'Run' Run# Division 'Hot Run ' 'Ready'

Trial - 'Run' Run# Division 'Trial' 'Ready'

SuperTimer II operating alone - 'Ready'

False Crossing

At Clear False Crossing - 'Crossing Cleared'

Results

Immediately after the second car crosses - 'Winner' 'Lane' Lane# 'Difference' Time# 'Seconds' If the time is less than the Tie Time then 'Difference' will be 'Tie'.

If the result was from two cars and Phase B, it is followed immediately by - 'Heat' 'Winner' Division 'Heat' Heat# 'Lane' Lane# 'Difference' Time# 'Seconds' If the time is less than the Tie Time then 'Difference' will be 'Tie' and both phases will be rescheduled..

If the result was from either phase and only one car crossed when two were expected so that "Accept One" was pushed - 'Heat' 'Winner' Division 'Heat' Heat# 'Lane' Lane# Clearly, there is no time to announce.

SuperTimer II operating alone - ' 'Winner' 'Lane' Lane# 'Difference' Time# 'Seconds' and repeats until the Start button is pressed, then goes to the Standby state.

Modifications after results

Disqualified - 'Lane' Lane# 'Disqualified' 'Heat' 'Winner' Division 'Heat' Heat# 'Lane' Lane# Clearly if Lane 1 is disqualified, Lane 2 is the winner and vice versa.

Lanes Reversed - 'Lane' 'Reversed' This will be followed by a placing announcement if the result determines a place. Otherwise the previous announcement of the winning lane is still correct, it just applies to the other car.

Official

When results are accepted - 'Official' Until this word is spoken the results are NOT official and not stored in the record..

Placing - 'Car' Car# Division Place 'Place' Place is 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. This is the only announcement that uses the Car number and comes after the results are official.

Miscellaneous

Generally when entering the Standby state - 'One moment please'

Announce Test - every word or phrase followed by the version number of the SuperTimer II firmware.
